About the Role
Seeking a motivated Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist for the Translational Biology team to support autoimmunity programs. This role involves designing, executing, and analyzing in vitro and ex vivo assays for therapeutic development in a collaborative, fast-paced biotech environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow established protocols and routinely implement cell-based assays to characterize immune cell response to novel biologics in vitro.
- Independently design and implement new experiments and methodologies.
- Maintain cell line cultures and contribute to laboratory maintenance.
- Review technical literature and contribute to project development through ideation.
- Analyze experiments with scientific rigor and troubleshoot assay performance.
- Interpret experimental data and plan next steps to drive projects.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
- Participate in project teams and communicate results at internal and/or external meetings.
- Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment with transparent communication and on-time deliverables.
- Design, execute, and interpret in vitro assays to advance lead drug candidates.
- Support ex vivo pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic studies.
- Support screening efforts for novel discovery programs.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with tissue culture, ex vivo tissue processing, and proficiency in executing cell-based assays (reporter assays, cytotoxicity assays, immune cell-based assays).
- Ability to handle timeline pressures and grasp project priorities to submit deliverables within designated timelines.
- Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude, capable of quickly learning new skills.
- Must work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, highly cross-functional team environment with colleagues from diverse disciplines.
