About the Role
Drive the product compliance vision and roadmap for Amazon Canada's consumer business, ensuring customer safety, regulatory compliance, and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the compliance product vision and roadmap for CA, identifying emerging Canadian regulatory requirements and translating them into prioritized investments.
- Assess regulatory risk using data-driven frameworks and offer risk-based solutions that balance compliance rigor with selection growth and seller experience.
- Partner across global teams (business, legal, GTS, RISC) to build solutions that improve control quality and reduce issue resolution time.
- Drive retail category strategy and decision-making with compliance performance metrics and AI tooling.
- Influence technology decisions for compliance tooling, prioritizing scalable solutions and understanding data standards.
- Own end-to-end launches for compliance controls across Legal, Tech, Operations, and Business teams.
- Identify process simplification opportunities and optimize risk-based controls to enhance customer experience.
- Perform competitive benchmarking to ensure Amazon Canada compliance programs exceed industry standards.
- Produce strategic documents (PR/FAQs, 6-pagers) and contribute to OP1/OP2 planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
- Experience as a product manager or owner.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, advertising, or logistics.
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
- Experience in trade compliance, customs operations, customs brokerage, supply chain, logistics, or similar.
- Experience in Product Safety & Compliance Law.
