About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol government transportation locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with the public and stakeholders, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a public transportation location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-access areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other designated locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures, reporting access-control concerns and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, or the military.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
