About the Role
Eastern Additive Solutions is a new production 3D printing factory seeking its first production technician. This role involves working directly with company leadership to produce end-use plastic parts for medical, robotics, and industrial customers, with a focus on orthotics and prosthetics.
Responsibilities
- Post-process printed parts, including powder removal and operation of automated and manual blast equipment.
- Tend industrial 3D printing equipment, managing material loading, build unit swaps, unpacking, and machine cleaning.
- Support finishing operations such as vapor smoothing and dyeing.
- Pack, label, and stage orders for shipment, ensuring part identification and traceability.
- Support quality inspection by staging parts for measurement and photo documentation.
- Maintain production floor order, including powder containment, station upkeep, and managing work zones.
- Assist in writing work instructions by drafting procedures for each station.
- Provide general floor support, including material moves, setups, and receiving.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on, physical work.
- Ability to follow written procedures exactly and identify discrepancies.
- Attention to detail, particularly with part identity, labeling, and tracking.
- Comfort working in a powder environment with full PPE, including a respirator.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for most of the shift.
- Reliable attendance is critical.
