About the Role
CPA Ontario is seeking an Adjudicative Tribunals Coordinator to support the Adjudicative Tribunals Office with case management and administrative tasks. This role aids in supporting volunteer adjudicators, ensuring procedures and KPIs are maintained, and serves as backup for hearing facilitation and administration to protect the public interest and ensure fair proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of virtual and/or in-person hearings, including room bookings, set-up, catering, and seating plans.
- Serve as the point of contact for all technological requirements for hearings, including camera operation and document sharing.
- Assist with preparing notices of hearing, distributing materials, decisions, orders, disciplinary letters and notices, newspaper publicity, and submissions to other committees or provincial bodies.
- Update and oversee content posted on CPA Ontario’s website, public caselaw databases, and the tribunals website.
- Assist with drafting summaries for Council on outcomes of tribunal matters.
- Support tribunal members by preparing and filing expense reports, coordinating travel and accommodations, and coordinating adjudicator training and events.
- Support the adjudicator recruitment and onboarding process.
- Ensure data for Adjudicative Tribunals KPIs and other statistics are up to date and accurate.
- Compile periodic reporting on KPIs and statistics.
- Prepare internal finance submissions and reporting on behalf of the Adjudicative Tribunals Office.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ relevant experience reading and understanding legislation and/or governing documents from a professional regulatory or legal environment.
- Excellent communication skills with advanced grammar and syntax.
- Takes initiative and applies good judgment.
- Maintains discretion with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Proven ability to manage time, determine priorities, organize, and carry out assignments effectively.
