About the Role
Janus Henderson is seeking an AI Business Partner to embed AI capabilities across business functions. This new role will identify AI opportunities, build practical solutions, and drive adoption within business units. You will operate at the intersection of business process, AI development, and change enablement, translating business needs into usable AI solutions. You will be part of the Innovation team and work within the AI Academy framework, partnering with AI champions and advanced users to scale AI capability.
Responsibilities
- Embed within an assigned business unit to discover, scope, and prioritize AI use cases by understanding workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
- Rotate to new departments, bringing replicable solutions.
- Work with teams to agree on practical measures of success for AI initiatives.
- Ensure all solutions align with strategic business objectives and capture progress and benefits transparently.
- Design and build intelligent solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and the M365 ecosystem.
- Conduct research into emerging AI technologies to evaluate their suitability for the firm.
- Build robust use cases through experimentation and analysis.
- Shape value cases for priority initiatives, linking ideas to expected business benefits and measurable KPIs.
- Track and report outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Analyze current business capabilities to tailor coaching and upskilling for business users in prompt engineering, AI tool usage, and solution design.
- Collaborate with departmental AI champions to identify, mentor, and develop "Fighter Pilots" to drive AI adoption.
- Help teams assess AI opportunities, their scalability, and the best route to delivery.
- Document reusable prompts, patterns, and lessons learned for the firm’s AI knowledge base.
- Work closely with Technology and control partners to ensure AI solutions are safe, responsible, and aligned with security and data privacy expectations.
- Stay current with evolving AI capabilities and translate them into practical applications.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building solutions with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), or similar low-code/no-code AI tooling.
- Demonstrable experience with multiple AI/GenAI tools and platforms.
- Strong business analysis capability to map business processes and identify AI value.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
- Practical experience with change management or technology adoption.
- Working knowledge of prompt engineering and GenAI application design.
- Self-directed and comfortable operating with ambiguity.
- Strong documentation instincts to create clear, reusable guides and materials.
- Willingness to understand regulatory obligations and abide by regulated entity requirements and JHI policies.
- Willingness to adhere to the firm's Investment Advisory Code of Ethics.
