About the Role

Product Manager, Traffic Shaping: Dig into a complex, data-heavy product area, develop a point of view, and help take features from problem definition through launch and measurement. Traffic Shaping uses machine learning to determine which ad requests are worth processing, helping publishers earn more while reducing infrastructure costs.

Responsibilities

  • Build deep knowledge of Traffic Shaping, including the product, its data, its customers, and the systems it connects to.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback and turn it into clear product recommendations.
  • Analyze large, imperfect datasets and evaluate experiments, explaining results and next steps.
  • Develop prioritization recommendations grounded in customer needs, product data, technical constraints, and business impact.
  • Define problems clearly and draft requirements and user stories; proposing features and improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science from ideation through rollout and validation, surfacing risks and tradeoffs early.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product operations, launch processes, and recurring workflows; recommending streamlining or automation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience, owning product features, experiments, or improvements.
  • Experience partnering directly with Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to launch work.
  • Strong analytical judgment; ability to reason about metrics, experiments, uncertainty, and data quality.
  • Technical fluency; ability to understand system workings and ask questions that advance engineering conversations.
  • Ability to write SQL when it is the fastest path to an answer.
  • Clear communication skills; ability to translate complex analysis into understandable recommendations.
  • Ownership and learning speed; ability to take initiative, surface risks early, seek feedback, and get up to speed quickly.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
