About the Role
The Digital Channels Manager will join the Communications team within Corporate Affairs, reporting to the Content Lead. This role sits at the heart of Wellcome's digital communications activity, working closely with colleagues across Communications, Policy and Partnerships, Product, and Digital Marketing to ensure Wellcome's website, social media channels, and paid digital activity engage audiences, strengthen reputation, and support strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of Wellcome's social media channel strategies, ensuring each channel has a clear audience, purpose and content approach.
- Oversee Wellcome's external digital channels, ensuring content is timely, accessible, accurate and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Lead the planning, creation, commissioning and editing of digital content across the website and social platforms.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver effective paid digital content and campaigns.
- Use analytics, social listening and audience insights to optimise performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Lead website content planning and governance, working with internal teams and external partners to deliver improvements and enhancements.
- Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.
Requirements
- Experience managing digital channels for a large, complex organisation.
- Proven track record developing and delivering social media strategies across multiple platforms.
- Experience leading website content projects, including content audits and working with product and development teams to deliver website enhancements.
- Experience using analytics and audience insights to measure performance and inform content strategy.
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers or external partners while balancing multiple priorities.
