About the Role
Responsible for directing all warehouse operations consistent with company warehousing distribution practices, procedures, and objectives. This involves directing the safe, accurate, and efficient receiving, storage, and shipment of materials in a manner that meets customer service objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervises a team of warehouse employees and delivery drivers, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, career development planning, disciplinary actions, and termination.
- Ensures efficient and courteous service to all customers (internal and external).
- Meets customer delivery service goals and delivery schedules by dispatching in-house trucks and/or utilizing third-party providers.
- Communicates all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
- Develops and manages preventative maintenance programs for warehouse equipment.
- Ensures employees have proper certification and training on equipment.
- Maintains strict control over inventory levels to meet internal and external demand.
- Coordinates annual physical inventory activities.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Develops and/or enforces corporate policies regarding security and safety.
- Manages the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies.
- Identifies, investigates, and addresses all inventory records discrepancies.
- Maintains appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
- Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
