About the Role
Stripe is seeking an individual to oversee strategic early-stage accelerator partnerships, focusing on educating, attracting, and retaining promising startups. This role involves cultivating trusted partnerships, communicating Stripe's mission, and evangelizing the product to prospective users, ultimately driving success with startups and supporting founders in their growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Y Combinator and other accelerator partnerships.
- Ensure a delightful founder experience with Stripe.
- Develop and execute key programs.
- Initiate new programs that add value to the Y Combinator ecosystem.
- Act as an escalation point for partners and top startups to enhance Stripe's brand within the Y Combinator ecosystem.
- Maintain a product feedback loop to internal teams for product improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to advance strategic Stripe initiatives for startup founders.
- Compile startup ecosystem insights and provide updates on business progress, market trends, and product feedback.
- Represent Stripe in the startup ecosystem and present at key events.
- Utilize data skills (SQL, etc.) to build tools for founder support and impact measurement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in the startup ecosystem, with startup or investing experience.
- Experienced business or technical founder with a passion for helping other founders.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and founder empathy.
- Ability to build strong partnerships, particularly within the Y Combinator community.
- User-first mindset; commitment to excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- A builder mentality, eager to launch new initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Humility, initiative, and a "no task is too small" attitude.
