About the Role
Upstate Niagara Cooperative, a dairy cooperative owned by local family farms, is seeking an individual to support sustainable farming and deliver fresh, local dairy products. This role involves executing a continuous improvement plan for plant equipment utilization.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all phases of operation and maintenance of systems, including primary and ancillary equipment.
- Manage preventative and predictive maintenance of process equipment throughout the plant.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC and computer-controlled devices.
- Troubleshoot minor plumbing, building repair, and maintenance.
- Train others on the team.
- Monitor performance and efficiency of utility-related process equipment, recognizing and rectifying deviations from optimal.
- Manage maintenance department labor.
- Ensure first-line compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies for environmental discharges.
- Manage maintenance employee job performance, including safety, orientation, training, and discipline.
- Ensure compliance with employee relations policies and programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Experience with electro-mechanical, pneumatics, PLC controllers, and process instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
