About the Role
The NRMA is seeking an experienced Iteration Manager Business Analyst (IMBA) for a 12-month maximum term contract within the Motoring & Membership Technology team. This role is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and delivering programs, including business case objectives, business analysis, team velocity, project reporting, change management, and project communication. The position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and reports to the Technology Delivery Domain.
Responsibilities
- Deliver complex and strategic programs of work.
- Prepare project documents identifying scope, objectives, risks, assumptions, resource levels, roles, responsibilities, schedules, and deliverables.
- Create foundations and platforms for BA/business owner collaboration and delivery team estimations on User Story capture and requirements.
- Manage project initiation, analysis, planning, control, variation, measurement, reporting, and closure.
- Report on project status to stakeholders, customers, and the project team.
- Resolve escalated project issues and manage project change.
- Manage conflicting priorities and track team velocity and capacity.
- Collaborate and negotiate with product owners, technical, and business stakeholders, including senior leaders, to achieve optimal delivery in terms of cost, speed-to-market, and business outcomes.
- Partner with 3rd party delivery vendors to manage delivery.
- Define and maintain a continuous improvement philosophy for the domain, supporting technology and business strategy.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Drive simplicity and efficiency.
- Ensure highly available, stable, and scalable services.
- Prepare project status reports to track forecast and actuals, highlighting financial health and budget adherence.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, meet-ups, and relevant case studies.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project delivery certification highly regarded.
- Proven experience delivering complex business and technology programs in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and complex stakeholder environments.
- Extensive experience engaging and influencing senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong project management experience across the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, delivery, governance, reporting, risk management, and closure.
- Experience managing team capacity, delivery velocity, dependencies, risks, and issues to achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong business analysis capability, including discovery workshops, requirements gathering, process mapping, user story development, solution design support, stakeholder facilitation, and business process improvement.
- Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with both technical and business teams to achieve optimal delivery outcomes.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and delivery partners.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting budget forecasting, financial management, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, customer outcomes, and fostering high-performing, engaged teams.
