About the Role
The Medical Health Associates of WNY (MHA) is seeking full-time Vaccine Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide high-quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in an office setting, helping them pursue a healthy future.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate customer satisfaction through positive interactions with patients, parents, providers, colleagues, and other team members.
- Provide and assist with direct patient care, including exam/procedure prep, screenings, initial assessments, patient exams, and clinical procedures.
- Administer and document medications, immunizations, and collect specimens as ordered by providers.
- Assist providers with clinical procedures, such as suturing and obtaining specimens for culture.
- Perform catheterizations.
- Administer nebulizer treatments.
- Obtain respiratory rate, pulse oximetry, pulmonary functions, and peak flow meter readings when applicable.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations.
- Assist with stocking supplies and preparing rooms and equipment.
- Schedule patient visits appropriately and sensitively.
- Gather patient information via telephone and prepare/review patient records.
- Communicate with parents/patients regarding visit-related questions, follow-up instructions, or scheduling.
- Provide health education and teaching to parents/patients as directed by the provider.
- Accurately communicate necessary information to pharmacies, including prescription requests or prior authorizations.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
- Attend and participate in required in-service and mandatory meetings.
- Support changes and new programs to improve patient care and staff morale.
- Coordinate care with disease management as directed by providers.
- Perform, record, and report laboratory tests while maintaining universal precautions and infection control.
- Protect the privacy and security of confidential patient information.
- Assist with training and serve as a resource for other staff.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the nurse manager or a provider.

- $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
