About the Role
This position will assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points.
Responsibilities
- Assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points.
- Process raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
- Perform QA/QC checks.
- Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff.
- Ensure division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
- Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
Requirements
- Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking.
- Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production activities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.
- Full use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode.

- Experience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monuments
- Ability to travel and remain on a project site or other Westwood office for extended periods
- Processing and drafting utilizing LiDAR point clouds and imagery
- TBC Scanning Module
- MicroStation experience
- Ability to utilize survey field equipment
- FAA Part 107 UAS License
Education Level
- Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study
