About the Role

Lahmeyer International combines expertise, technical know-how, and consulting competence to offer a broad spectrum of engineering and consulting services in Power & Heat, Transmission & Distribution, Renewables, and Hydro. We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our Business Unit Power & Heat team.

Responsibilities

Conceive and plan technical systems in energy, process, and power plant technology.
Support project teams in selecting, specifying, and dimensioning gas and steam turbines.
Coordinate interfaces with other departments, clients, manufacturers, and suppliers.
Prepare tender documents and manage associated award processes.
Review manufacturer documents and evaluate technical offers regarding design, quality, and economic efficiency.
Support manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning as needed, and participate in manufacturer acceptance.
Analyze mechanical, process, and control engineering problems and develop solutions with involved disciplines.

Requirements

Completed degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, energy technology, or comparable field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with gas and steam turbines, ideally in a power plant environment.
Sound knowledge in the selection, design, and technical evaluation of turbines and other rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors.
Strong affinity for process and power plant technology, with the ability to integrate machine technology requirements into the overall plant process.
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
Experience with manufacturer acceptance and commissioning is advantageous.
Ability to work interdisciplinarily, communicate clearly, and demonstrate reliability, self-responsibility, and results orientation.
Willingness for short business trips.
Fluent German language skills (C2 level).
