About the Role

The Product Line Manager (PLM) will deliver product and market intelligence to increase market share for assigned product range(s). This role serves as the market expert, executing product, pricing, promotion, and go-to-market plans to drive growth and profitability. The PLM will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute the short-term, tactical plan for assigned product range(s) to achieve market performance goals.
  • Contribute to the product line roadmap with market evidence and communicate the plan and priorities.
  • Manage designated product range(s) over its life cycle to maximize company return/profit.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and commercial change processes.
  • Lead commercial input to the product development process, including product market requirements and target market identification.
  • Manage all aspects of the product life cycle from planning to termination.
  • Define Product Models and Structures.
  • Identify requirements for coordinating the development and deployment of training, content, processes, practices, and tools to support salespeople.
  • Increase sales results and productivity by working collaboratively with sales, marketing, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the performance of new product introductions, including accountability for post-launch financial performance.
  • Support product launches, promotion, and channel activity to drive adoption, sales results, and productivity.
  • Determine product pricing using market research, production/sales costs, volume anticipation, and special order costing.
  • Manage product pricing, including list price and customer/project level discounting, to balance growth, capacity utilization, and profitability.
  • Manage the assigned product range as a business, monitoring revenue, margin, and profitability, and taking corrective action.
  • Apply business acumen and data-driven analysis to inform investment, trade-off, and resource-allocation recommendations.
  • Establish and communicate a commitment to quality and the importance of meeting statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure quality policy is understood, implemented, and maintained.
  • Establish and communicate measurable quality objectives consistent with the quality policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Engineering, Science, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in product marketing, product development, or related field.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 – 30%.
