About the Role
The warehouse supervisor plans the daily work of warehouse associates, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role involves problem-solving, process improvement, managing emails, approving product quality, submitting quality issue reports, and staff communication.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow proper shipping and receiving protocols.
- Efficiently pull, pack, strap, and stage orders.
- Check incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy.
- Load and/or unload OTR trailers.
- Plan and schedule the daily work of the warehouse team.
- Supervise and lead staff to achieve a safe and efficient work environment.
- Inspect products for quality and process quality issue reports.
- Communicate issues to CSRs and purchasing staff.
- Assist with inventory management and control.
- Learn all product specifications including their size, color, shape, material, and type.
- Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment daily and report any issues to the warehouse manager.
- Safely operate stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts.
- Attend all safety meetings and uphold all warehouse safety protocols and instructions.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Work within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
- Perform any other duties required of this position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 5 years of general warehouse experience.
- 1-2 years of warehouse supervisory experience.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Excellent attendance at current or previous employment.
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with employees, maintaining a warm and professional manner with a positive employee relations and customer service mindset.
Skills
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Close attention to details and high level of accuracy.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and positive environment.
- Highly organized and deadline-oriented.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and open to cross-training on equipment and functions.
- Ability to make sound, independent judgments.
- Capacity and desire to expand knowledge of software capabilities.

Experience Level
