About the Role

The Residential Aide is responsible for ensuring client safety, providing direct care services, and maintaining building safety during shift hours at the residential site.

Responsibilities

Monitors, screens, and oversees all families assigned to the family shelter.
Responsible for safety and security of all families assigned to the family shelter.
Works closely with case management staff to meet the needs of the families.
Assists families in developing their ADL skills and housekeeping as needed.
Completes unit inspections and documentation.
Cleans, sanitizes, and prepares the kitchen area for residents.
Warms up food for residents and serves meals as needed.
Removes trash and documents discarded food.
Completes temperature logs for refrigerators.
Monitors families for adherence to program and hotel rules.
Responds to family health and mental health needs as needed.
Completes wellness checks.

Requirements

Previous experience with the homeless population is a plus.
Ability to establish workload priorities.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations.
Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
