About the Role
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Pre-Award Grants Administrator. This position has responsibility across three entities: Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH), New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), and Columbia University (CU) Psychiatry. This position will work within the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and liaison with various investigators across the institutions to provide pre-award support for grant applications, as well as additional administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed budgets and justifications for grant application.
- Work with Principal Investigators to confirm final budget and subcontracts.
- Work with investigators to identify and organize all components necessary for grant submission.
- Compile and format applications to meet sponsor specifications and deadlines.
- Work with OSP to ensure review of all application materials and timely submission of all documents.
- Review Biographical sketches and Other Support documents for investigators.
- Assist Principal Investigators in the preparation of Post Submission material, Just in Time requests, progress, interim and final reports as per the sponsor's guidelines and deadlines.
- Compile and submit to OSP, all documents required to facilitate the execution of subcontracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and two or more years of related experience in sponsored projects in a sponsored projects environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Ability to work within financial systems.
- High degree of literacy and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe.
