About the Role
Join our team as a Tactical Security Guard and make a real impact by protecting people, property, and community with professionalism and integrity. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your education and security experience, gaining critical front-line experience in a professional setting on an academic campus in Downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Proactively patrolling high-traffic areas by foot
- Responding to incidents and emergencies quickly and effectively
- Enforcing the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and site-specific regulations
- Observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or safety hazards
- Assisting in medical emergency response and supporting on-site evacuations
- Conducting site checks, verifying identity, and managing access points
- Writing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting community engagement efforts to promote safety and awareness
- Collaborating with local law enforcement when required
Requirements
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Must be Use of Force certified with at least 1 year Tactical security experience
- Must have valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Must have Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification (WSIB Approved)
- Must have experience working with Vulnerable population
- Must be able to commute to Downtown Toronto with no onsite parking
- Working Knowledge of Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act enforcement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
- Strong documentation and report-writing abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for the duration of your shift
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Suite)
