About the Role
Impact Fire Services is seeking a Shop Technician to service and maintain fire protection products. This role is crucial for ensuring all fire protection products are in optimal working condition, meeting productivity goals, and upholding quality, service, and safety standards. You will learn a trade with multiple career paths in fire and life safety within an employee-focused company culture.
Responsibilities
- Service and provide regularly scheduled maintenance on fire protection products.
- Ensure fire protection products are in the best possible working condition.
- Complete tasks assigned by the manager while maintaining focus on quality, service, and safety objectives.
- Meet weekly productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized workstation.
- Ensure a safe environment for self and co-workers.
- Manage time to complete the maximum amount of service and maintenance.
- Achieve weekly productivity goals assigned by the manager.
- Protect and maintain company equipment.
- Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Ability to learn required processes for servicing and maintaining a variety of fire protection products.
- A valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record.
- Ability to perform physical activities outlined in accompanying physical requirements checklist.
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
- Ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork.
- Working habits and personal appearance which are both neat and well organized.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
- MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
