About the Role

As a Systems Administrator, you will be an integral part of the corporate IT team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the IT infrastructure across nine locations in the greater Austin area. Your technical expertise and proactive approach are invaluable in maintaining the reliability and security of the IT environment, supporting the organization's continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and administration of MS Windows 2016/2019 Servers and Active Directory environment
  • Maintenance and administration of LAN/WAN/Wireless network infrastructure
  • Maintenance and administration of corporate phone systems
  • Design of system backups and recovery
  • Maintenance and administration of cloud-based services like Google Workspace
  • Maintenance and administration of software licensing
  • Address end-user service requests
  • Creation and removal of end-user accounts including Active Directory, Google Workspace, and Phone/Voicemail setup
  • PC hardware and software installation and maintenance
  • Develop and streamline IT procedures for frequently performed tasks
  • Troubleshoot printer and copier issues
  • Check backup reports daily
  • Ensure data is protected and report/remediate anomalies
  • Maintain IT department documentation (inventory, diagrams, site information)
  • Develop and create standardized work instructions for department associates
  • Generate reports for management
  • Perform other IT-related duties as requested

Requirements

  • Must reside within the Austin, TX metro area
  • 2-3 Years of experience in Windows Systems Administration
  • Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, switch configurations, and firewall settings
  • Experience in Active Directory administration
  • Windows Server administration in an SMB environment
  • Active Directory management, group policy, security groups
  • End-user support expertise
  • Networking knowledge including interior routing protocols, switching, subnetting, VLANS, and switch configuration
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting up the OSI model
