About the Role
The Construction Site Representative (CSR) is responsible for managing construction, maintenance, or site services subcontracts from conception to closeout for the Knolls Laboratory. This role implements subcontract management in accordance with established policies and procedures, overseeing performance, compliance, quality, and safety. The CSR acts as the primary point of contact for the contractor's project manager, fostering a working relationship to support successful contract execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction, maintenance, or site services subcontracts from conception to closeout.
- Implement subcontract management in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Oversee and monitor subcontractor performance, compliance, quality, and safety.
- Ensure subcontractor adherence to the subcontract.
- Prevent subcontractor failure and reduce project-related misdirection.
- Prevent multiple lines of communication.
- Provide guidance to preclude subcontractor rework.
- Reduce compliance risk.
- Develop a working relationship with the contractor's project manager and their team.
- Review and approve Material Disposition Lists (waste) for upcoming projects.
- Review multi-disciplined procedures and contractor submitted plans.
- Provide oversight for environmental, safety, and health protocols.
- Provide input to Project Execution Plans.
- Respond to unplanned events or unforeseen conditions.
- Document subcontractor's performance.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to successfully obtain an L-Clearance.
- Subcontractor Work Administrator (NNL Qualification).
- Field construction experience.
- The ability to be self-directed with minimal supervision while overseeing contractor activities.
- Expert knowledge of subcontract policies and procedures and the manner in which these policies and procedures are flowed down by an Owner or Contractor to Subcontractors and Subcontractor sub-tiers.

- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate technical ideas/concepts in a clear and concise manner.
