About the Role
This role sits within the Finance team, reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, and collaborates closely with Commercial Finance, FP&A, Reporting, and Finance Ops. The Finance team is vital for business success, managing budgets, liquidity, forecasting, and providing strategic insights to ensure financial stability and support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Own key components of the annual budget and forecasting cycles, leveraging Anaplan to build robust models.
- Partner with wider business stakeholders to drive strategic insights, identify variance drivers for working capital, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Manage daily cash operations, including liquidity monitoring and investment activities.
- Drive the end-to-end process for the 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Actively manage financial risk in the business, including FX, counterparty, and interest rates.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying manual tasks across Finance and Treasury.
- Drive automation projects to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and create scalable workflows.
- Train the shared service centre to take on operational day-to-day responsibilities.
- Serve as a bridge between your team and the wider Finance team, ensuring seamless communication.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects that align with company-wide business and growth goals.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (minimum 2+ years post qual)
- Background in commercial finance with interest in developing Treasury exposure, or a background in Treasury with interest in wider commercial finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience using AI to accelerate delivery and improve efficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Organised, task focused and will go the extra mile to get things done
