About the Role
This temporary position, lasting three to six months with potential for conversion, involves screening potential client engagements according to firm policies. The role offers flexibility for remote work within commuting distance of our offices.
Responsibilities
- Analyze conflicts database searches for new matters and clients, highlighting potential issues.
- Assist intake attorneys in clearing potential conflicts by contacting responsible firm attorneys.
- Identify conflicts of interest and assist in drafting waivers.
- Participate in training sessions for attorneys and staff on conflict screening and intake processes.
- Run special searches to identify potential conflict issues.
- Participate in special projects related to new business intake or lateral hire intake.
- Provide on-call coverage for conflicts checks related to new business intake.
- Assist with administrative tasks and support as assigned.
Requirements
- JD required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of conflict-of-interest rules under the Rules of Professional Conduct.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to build relationships with other attorneys to gain confidence in the conflicts analysis and approval process.
- Attention to detail, analysis, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; team player able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills, including understanding and responding quickly to a variety of inquiries.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is required.

- Los Angeles: $69.74 - $77.95 per hour
- San Francisco: $85.64 - $90.26 per hour
