About the Role
Assistant Store Managers elevate and enhance the customer's in-store experience by being a trusted sleep authority and offering best-in-class products. This transitional role develops skills to become a store manager, resolves customer issues, and supports company initiatives by coaching associates on selling practices and ensuring in-store merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead in resolving customer-related issues and escalating when necessary.
- Assist the Senior Store Manager in driving company initiatives and achieving sales performance goals.
- Coach associates on selling practices and ensure the execution of in-store merchandising in multiple store units.
- Support the development of team members by providing technical and product knowledge information.
- Assist Senior Store Manager with training of store associates.
- Promote a culture of coaching by providing insights on improving customer experience and selling aptitude.
- Achieve or exceed store financial targets through effective execution and customer service.
- Ensure store execution of product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards.
- Follow Mattress Firm procedures for product transfers to ensure proper documentation of inventory.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push 50+ pounds.
Requirements
