About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Product & Customer Content Marketing, this role manages the development and implementation of content assets to support the customer content strategy for the Research and Learning portfolio. The role holder will partner with internal stakeholders to implement the content marketing program through the creation of customer-focused content assets for various marketing channels.
Responsibilities
- Create regular content assets (articles, white papers, blogs, infographics, videos, webinars) to generate leads, expand audience base, and enhance Wiley's reputation.
- Maintain and update a centralized content calendar, organizing assets by customer segments and tracking content activations and performance.
- Write, proof, and build content pieces on the Wiley Insights blog, ensuring alignment with Wiley's ToV and SEO optimization.
- Develop, review, and build pages using Webflow for Wiley.com to support stakeholder campaign programs.
- Act as a steward for Cloudinary, organizing and tracking content assets within the digital asset management system.
- Apply SEO best practices to all content assets on Wiley.com or Wiley Insights.
- Populate organic and paid social channels with content based on audience segments.
- Collaborate with the enterprise brand and content team to adapt and amplify top-of-funnel content for Research Marketing and Learning audiences.
- Collaborate with journal and regional marketing managers to promote content on subject and region-specific channels, including translation for China communication channels.
- Develop clear content briefs for the creative team, ensuring assets align with Wiley brand and messaging guidelines.
- Work with marketing managers and vendors on digital assets such as webinars, podcasts, and videos.
- Translate messaging, positioning frameworks, and value propositions into content assets for key product launches across distinct audience segments.
- Create content assets highlighting key findings and compelling narratives to address competitive landscape opportunities and gaps.
- Ensure content is used in author email campaign programs, paid social, paid search, and society resources.
- Produce regular reports of content marketing activity in line with KPIs and targets.
Requirements
- Proactive self-starter capable of evaluating high-leverage opportunities to drive awareness and demand through content creation.
- Excellent written (copywriting and copy editing) skills with the ability to write engaging copy quickly.
- Experience using CMS to build optimized landing pages/web articles and interpret basic web analytics reports.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to handle multiple priorities and respond to changing requirements.
- Ability to maintain focus on key objectives and targets when developing content strategies.
- 1-2 years of marketing experience.
- Solid evidence and experience of multi-channel and integrated marketing skills.
- Extensive understanding of generating demand through content marketing and creating/delivering content marketing strategies is desirable.
- Experience producing content (blogs, webinars, infographics, videos) and managing content calendars/schedules.
- Understanding of Open Science/Research, publishing, and research landscape is desirable but not essential.
- Reliable team player who responds well to a varied workload and engages customers through content marketing.
