About the Role
The Program Manager coordinates and supervises a team utilizing the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model for youth and young adults facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, and trauma. This role ensures positive program outcomes through training, supervision, data oversight, quality improvement, and client support within the community.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and assists in the development, delivery, and management of program services.
- Promotes a healing- and person-centered culture that uplifts the dignity and strengths of clients.
- Responsible for hiring, orientation, training, supervision, evaluation, and dismissal of direct reports.
- Reviews individual client outcomes with direct reports during supervision.
- Ensures direct reports provide appropriate support to clients and utilize program resources efficiently.
- Holds staff accountable for meeting performance objectives through coaching and monitoring.
- Enforces and complies with all requirements outlined by funding sources, licensure, and accrediting bodies.
- Provides guidance and case consultation to staff on a daily basis.
- Builds team's strength in de-escalation and mediation for crisis situations.
- Completes file reviews and ensures timely, accurate data collection and entry.
- Updates training materials, assists with training delivery, and tracks staff training records.
- Maintains current knowledge of best practices in various philosophies and modalities.
- Acts as a liaison to internal programs and establishes relationships with external stakeholders.
- Provides temporary coverage and direct client services during staffing transitions or outages.
- Assists with the compilation, analysis, and reporting of program outcomes.
- Assists with coordinating client files and materials for funders and audits.
- Represents the program at leadership meetings and communicates decisions to the team.
- Provides community training, presentations, and outreach activities.
- Prepares for and actively participates in supervision and other required meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regularly provides in-field supervision, support, and field mentoring to direct reports.
- Ensures program staff comply with and deliver services consistent with fidelity standards for evidence-based models.
- Maintains a small caseload, providing employment and educational support services to clients.
- Facilitates weekly team meetings following IPS supported employment principles.
- Assists with coordinating fidelity reviews and developing action plans.
- Assists with coordinating steering committee meetings for IPS implementation.
- Works with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to coordinate services.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field with (3) years’ experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred minimum (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Experience with databases.
- Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license within 30 days.
- Possess or acquire standard First-Aid and CPR Certification as required by individual program.
- Licensed in Mental Health discipline for Clinical & Therapeutic Programs (preferred).
