About the Role

Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to top Enterprise Organizations, working as part of a customer Account Team in a pre-sales technical role. Showcase Cisco product solutions, set up demonstrations, explain features and benefits, and design/configure products to meet customer needs. Demonstrate the business value of Cisco Services, Solutions, and Architectures by aligning opportunities with customer challenges and priorities to ensure the Cisco architectural vision addresses desired new outcomes and capabilities. Gain access to Cisco technologies and applications in the financial services industry. Collaborate with Account Managers, Technical Architects, and other SEs to present solutions and support architecture development customized for global customers. Provide solution and architectural perspectives across the Cisco product portfolio and leverage technical specialization for specific opportunities. Act in a consultative fashion and be a trusted technical advisor in your field. Keep up-to-date on competitor solutions, products, and services. Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals.

  • Act in an increasingly consultative fashion and be a trusted technical advisor.
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitors’ solutions, products, and services.
  • Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.

Requirements

  • Provide a consultative relationship with the customer.
  • Collaborate with immediate and extended teams to develop customer-focused solutions driving industry-wide innovation.
  • Demonstrate business relevance associated with developed solutions.
  • Deliver and/or support delivery of technical presentations and solutions demonstrations to customers as part of an overall solution architecture.
  • Have knowledge of baseline SE/SA skills and in-depth knowledge in at least one adjacent technology including Data Center, Collaboration, Security or Route/Switch/Wireless.
  • Have an understanding of overall Cisco solutions, competitors, and associated technologies in the overall IT market.
  • Possess excellent technical consulting skills, including the ability to define trade-offs, ask probing questions and incorporate Cisco solutions into a broader technology environment.
  • 5+ years of related experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or client-facing consulting roles.
  • Cisco product experience or relevant experience with key competitor offerings.
  • Proven pre-sales experience, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand customer drivers and frame Cisco offerings in terms of business and mission value.
  • Conversant in AI infrastructure and IT use cases.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies, including switching, wireless, routing, data centers, and security.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and technical consulting skills.
  • A passion for technology and problem-solving with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new trends.

Salary/Compensations

  • $209,100.00 - $275,100.00
  • $229,000.00 - $344,700.00 (New York City Metro Area)
  • $218,600.00 - $329,000.00 (Non-Metro New York state & Washington state)
