About the Role
Seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for an inpatient acute care setting. This role involves administering evaluations, diagnosing disorders, and establishing treatment programs. You will also provide patient and family education and participate in program development.
Responsibilities
- Administer evaluations, diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice and/or swallowing disorders.
- Schedule patients for evaluation and treatments based on patient needs.
- Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice and/or swallowing.
- Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline, PM&R department, and Service Line.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
- NYS licensure.
- Clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent).
- Completion of clinical fellowship year.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
- Acute care experience required.
- Must work one weekend every month.
