About the Role

The Quality and Compliance Specialist ensures high-quality services in line with state and federal regulations within the Residential Supports department. They monitor and implement recommendations from state reviews, investigations, and compliance concerns, develop tools for monitoring processes, draft compliance and quality improvement reports, and conduct safety inspections and audits. The specialist also assists in creating corrective action plans and ensuring staff complete required training. They maintain communication to foster a positive service environment, may participate in agency-wide committees, and are responsible for maintaining confidentiality and proper documentation. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and implement recommendations from state reviews, investigations, and compliance concerns.
  • Develop tools for monitoring processes.
  • Draft compliance and quality improvement reports.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits.
  • Assist in the creation of corrective action plans.
  • Ensure staff completes required training.
  • Maintain communication with team members to foster a positive service environment.
  • Participate in agency-wide committees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation in line with agency standards.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience, which, in the judgment of the employer, equals the below standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in the human services field.
  • Willing and able to have medication certification and maintain certification.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License.
