About the Role
This role provides all-round general knowledge of paint applications and preparation of product, lending support to the Lead Hand. It is responsible for receiving and releasing quality product into and from the Paint Shop. Operators will apply their knowledge of paint processes to produce finished goods and demonstrate flexibility to assume other assigned duties in preparation for shipping.
Responsibilities
- Performs assembly of product as required
- Identifies quality product acceptable for paint
- Troubleshoots related processes and equipment
- Attends to required minor repairs
- Ability to work independently / with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Min. grade 12 or equivalent education
- 3+ years relevant work experience in powder coat applications and techniques (reading blueprints, installations, repairs, etc.) in a metal welding/fabrication environment
- Ability to work shifts
- Written and oral aptitude in English
- Ability to meet prescribed production standards
- Capable and willing to learn
