About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer leads the technical design and delivery of complex features and distributed services. This role sets engineering standards, mentors developers, and partners cross-functionally to ensure scalable and resilient architectures while owning service health and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery of complex features and distributed services
- Document architectural trade-offs
- Break down large, ambiguous problems into deliverable increments
- Set and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability
- Mentor and coach intermediate and junior developers
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Production Engineering
- Lead incident response for significant outages
- Conduct blameless post-incident reviews
- Manage service health, performance, cloud cost optimization, and technical debt
- Conduct technical assessments and candidate interviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of experience building, shipping, and operating production software at scale
- Deep expertise in C#/.NET, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or C++
- Proven track record designing distributed systems, APIs, and data models
- Strong cloud-native experience including Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD
- Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives across multiple developers
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform
