About the Role

This role is responsible for enforcing building rules, reporting tenant complaints, overseeing outside contractors, conducting unit inspections, coordinating move-ins/outs, and performing minor maintenance. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all building rules approved by the employer.
  • Report all tenant, shareholder, and unit owners complaints to the manager.
  • Oversee and audit the work of outside contractors at the assigned property and provide reports to management.
  • Conduct unit inspections prior to move-ins and post move-outs to determine condition.
  • Coordinate necessary repairs to make units available for lease.
  • Determine and coordinate the distribution of security deposit funds due to prior tenants post inspection and repairs.
  • Show units to prospective tenants.
  • Coordinate all moves in or out of the property.
  • Coordinate the purchase of necessary tools, supplies, and equipment to service and maintain the property and common areas.
  • Perform minor maintenance of common areas and appurtenant structures and fittings.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repair of doors, gates, fences, locks and associated hardware.
  • Perform general electrical, boiler room, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist with the preparation of leases and amendments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum 5 years previous facilities management experience
  • Participation in recognized professional association (e.g. IFMA)
  • Certified in Facilities Management and IFMA designation as Certified Facility Manager, a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions
  • Knowledge of computers
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Salary/Compensations

  • $47,000 to $52,000 annually
