About the Role
Amazon has the world’s most complex supply chain, and we need your skills to optimize it. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, your mission will be to improve forecast accuracy and enable partner teams and customers to optimize supply chain decisions by detecting, diagnosing, and correcting forecast problems and generating metrics and insights.
Responsibilities
- Understand opportunities for improvement and partner with PMs, Science, and Engineering to design solutions for complex forecasting problems.
- Develop innovative solutions with machine learning & research scientists to solve forecasting challenges for new Amazon businesses.
- Communicate effectively and build trust with retail customers and downstream systems.
- Develop strong reporting mechanisms for internal and external teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse.
- Scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (Tableau preferred).
- Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership.
