About the Role
The HR Partner role focuses on enhancing the manager experience by influencing change, fostering inclusion, and applying HR fundamentals. You will partner with leaders to develop strategies and goals centered on the manager experience.
Responsibilities
- Influence change and foster an environment of inclusion for managers and employees.
- Problem solve and influence diverse populations.
- Work in a fast-paced and complex changing environment driven by continuous innovation.
- Apply HR fundamentals.
- Partner with leaders at multiple levels to develop forward-looking strategies and goals focused on the manager experience.
- Collaborate with managers, leaders, and other HR teams to innovate, implement, and deploy HR strategies.
- Consult, coach, and develop managers through decision making with empathy and sound judgment.
- Collaborate and implement actions on talent management processes, people development, performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues.
- Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all managers and employees.
- Advocate for managers’ needs through end-to-end experiences that help Amazon managers lead their teams effectively.
- Exercise high-judgment, manage through ambiguity, and serve as the first point of escalation for employee concerns.
- Support manager queries and situations with discretion and expertise, navigating Amazon Policies and applying high judgment.
- Actively promote adoption of technology and self-service.
- Collaborate and influence multiple levels of the organization, from managers to senior leaders.
- Conduct difficult workplace investigations in collaboration with ER.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of human resource generalist experience.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
- Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
- Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and influencing colleagues, collaborators, and stakeholders.
- Experience with labor/employee relations.
- Ability to demonstrate high-judgment, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility.
