About the Role
Mastercard's regulatory experts liaise with regulators globally to meet supervisory obligations and minimize regulatory impact. This position will drive the regulatory strategy for technology infrastructure, operational, and enterprise resilience, ensuring alignment with global expectations while enabling business growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution and interpretation of regulatory obligations for infrastructure/technology, operational, and enterprise resilience across Mastercard’s platforms.
- Collaborate with technology risk and controls teams to translate regulatory requirements into technology control frameworks.
- Coordinate and lead engagements with global regulatory colleagues, advising on regulatory regimes for technology/infrastructure, and operational and enterprise resilience.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with legal colleagues on regulatory requirements for commercial contracts with third-party technology and infrastructure deals.
- Support the definition and implementation of scalable regulatory approaches for technology, operations, and enterprise resilience obligations.
- Oversee enterprise execution with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution of regulatory obligations across infrastructure and related regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an established and reputable law school.
- Experience with infrastructure, technology, operational, and enterprise resilience, including a strong understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Experience translating and interpreting complex regulations into clear operational guidance for technology/infrastructure, resilience, and supplier management teams.
- Experience in a regulatory role within a corporation, law firm, or government context, preferably in the payments, banking, or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and regulators globally.
- Experience leading global regulatory strategy in highly regulated environments.
- Strong executive presence and decision-making capability in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven success in navigating multi-national organizations and operating effectively within a diverse multicultural organization.
- Proactive, time-sensitive, and results-driven approach in carrying out all duties, obligations, and responsibilities.
