About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead the growth of Baxter's Patient Support Systems (PSS) business in Singapore. This role is responsible for the overall commercial performance of the PSS portfolio through strategic business planning, distributor management, and market development. The successful candidate will drive growth, expand market share, build strong customer relationships, and ensure achievement of sales and profitability objectives. In addition to direct ownership of the PSS business, the Sales Manager will provide leadership and coaching to a Key Account Manager responsible for the Global Surgical Solutions (GSS) and Front Line Care (FLC) portfolios, ensuring alignment to commercial priorities and business objectives. Working closely with distributor partners, healthcare institutions, clinicians, equipment planners, procurement stakeholders, and internal teams, this role will play a critical part in strengthening Baxter's presence across Singapore's healthcare market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives for the PSS portfolio.
  • Lead annual business planning, forecasting, and commercial execution activities.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion, market penetration, and portfolio growth.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver sustainable business growth through effective distributor management and customer engagement.
  • Assume full commercial responsibility for the PSS portfolio in Singapore.
  • Drive sales growth through distributor partners and strategic account development.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans to maximize business performance.
  • Support major projects, tenders, and capital equipment opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key hospital stakeholders, procurement teams, clinicians, biomedical engineers, and equipment planners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Key Account Manager responsible for the GSS and FLC portfolios.
  • Provide strategic direction and performance management to support achievement of business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Support capability development and succession planning within the team.
  • Build strong partnerships with distributor organizations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and performance assessments.
  • Develop action plans to accelerate growth and improve commercial execution.
  • Provide commercial, product, and strategic support to distributor teams.
  • Ensure effective execution of sales, marketing, and tender activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders and key decision-makers.
  • Develop expert knowledge of customer requirements, healthcare trends, and market dynamics.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent Baxter at industry conferences, workshops, and educational events.
  • Support product demonstrations, clinical workshops, seminars, and training activities.
  • Provide product and market expertise to distributors and customers.
  • Communicate the clinical, operational, and economic value of Baxter's solutions.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing and product management teams to support growth initiatives and product launches.
  • Support tender preparation, submission, and execution.
  • Partner with distributors on major healthcare infrastructure and capital equipment projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience within the medical device, healthcare technology, or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Experience managing distributor-led business models.
  • Experience leading and developing sales professionals.
  • Experience within hospital, capital equipment, medical device, or healthcare technology environments.
  • Previous experience with hospital infrastructure, patient care solutions, operating room solutions, or diagnostic portfolios is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
