About the Role
Horizon Village is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Assistant to join their team. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding career focused on supporting individuals through their recovery journey in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety.
- Complete room searches throughout the facility.
- Administer toxicology screenings.
- Supervise wellness and family group activities.
- Guide patients through the challenges of recovery.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or other facilities and back as needed (approximately 10% of duties).
Requirements
- Associate's degree and 1 year of behavioral health or healthcare work experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of behavioral health or healthcare work experience required.
- A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license.
- Three years of driving experience as a licensed driver.
- Ability to perform physical demands including frequent standing/sitting, mobility between worksites, repetitive wrist/hand/finger movements, handling objects up to 20 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and occasional operation of company vehicles.
