About the Role

We are seeking an experienced contract manager or parks professional to join the City Greening and Leisure business unit. This role is crucial for managing the City's parks, assets, and recreational facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet community needs. You will play a vital part in delivering strategic objectives related to greening, environmental performance, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage service and consultancy contracts to meet community needs.
  • Maintain the quality of the City's parks and street greening assets to the highest standard.
  • Manage key relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver outcomes reflecting the City's governance and business principles.
  • Seek continual improvements in park asset management.
  • Ensure service delivery and compliance objectives are met.
  • Deliver environmental outcomes and improved sustainability performance.
  • Implement strategies contributing to parks asset management plans.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management.
  • Demonstrated experience in park management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple services, contracts, and projects.
  • Highly developed contract management skills.
  • Operational understanding of asset management.
  • Excellence in customer service.
  • Experience in project implementation.
  • Experience in performance management.
  • Experience in specification writing.
  • Experience in benchmarking of services.
  • Must complete a pre-employment health declaration, medical assessment, and criminal history check.
