About the Role

As an FP&A Analyst Commercial, you will be the central Finance Business Partner for the Commercial department, linking commercial performance with financial control. Your focus will be on pricing, trade terms, and customer/channel profitability, while actively shaping our global FP&A processes for planning, forecasting, performance management, and reporting. Through sound analysis, clear insights, and a solid understanding of commercial drivers, you will create transparency and support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

Act as the central Finance Business Partner for the Commercial department, translating commercial developments into financial impacts and concrete recommendations.
Proactively question assumptions and support informed decisions with structured analyses and scenarios.
Analyze revenue and margin drivers such as volume, price, and mix, as well as the profitability of customers, channels, and SKUs, including promotional ROI.
Monitor rebates, listing fees, and other trade investments, ensuring their correct financial representation.
Actively support budget and forecast processes for Net Sales and commercial KPIs, translating sales and account plans as well as promotion calendars into financial forecasts.
Support the month-end closing process with performance and variance analyses against budget and forecast, identifying key causes for deviations.
Prepare decision-relevant analyses and presentations for Commercial and Finance management, communicating key findings clearly and appropriately for the audience.
Drive the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, KPIs, reports, and dashboards, for example in Power BI.

Requirements

Bring 5-8+ years of professional experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales Controlling, or a comparable finance area.
Ideally possess experience as a Finance Business Partner in the FMCG, Food, or Consumer Goods sector.
Combine strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of P&L, revenue structures, and margin mechanics, and confidently translate commercial drivers like price, volume, and mix into financial impacts.
Ideally have experience with ERP, CRM, and BI systems; knowledge of SQL or automation is an additional plus.
Communicate convincingly in German and English, constructively question assumptions, and effectively engage diverse commercial stakeholders.
Work in a structured, pragmatic, and hands-on manner, navigating comfortably between strategic issues and operational commercial business.
Think curiously and entrepreneurially, proactively take responsibility, and enjoy translating data into relevant insights and decisions.
Demonstrably use AI to significantly increase personal productivity and work quality.
