About the Role
IDEA’s Compensation Manager is responsible for evaluating and maintaining IDEA's compensation functions. This role collaborates with leadership, leveraging expertise in compensation best practices to ensure a fair, competitive compensation approach that supports staff attraction and retention.
Responsibilities
- Direct management of at least one individual contributor
- Designing Base Pay Strategies: Analyze data to recommend adjustments to pay structures and processes for a competitive and equitable program.
- Implementing Base Pay Program: Maintain salary structures and create guidelines, training, and tools for compensation policy implementation.
- Employee Commitment Programs: Create and manage recognition programs to promote engagement and retention; develop innovative approaches to celebrate milestones; evaluate program impact.
- Provide Strong Customer Service: Support leaders, partners, and staff in understanding the compensation program through proactive resources and responsive communication.
- Manage team to results: Establish aligned individual goals, clarify work expectations, develop competencies, ensure strong evaluations, deliver timely feedback and coaching, and instill a strong work ethic.
- Position analysis and classification

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, including 3 years in Compensation administration.
- Ability to travel 3-5 times a year
- Keyboarding: Entering text or data using a traditional keyboard.
- Alternate Sitting or Standing at Will: Flexibility to choose between sitting and standing as needed.
- Gross Manipulation: Use hands for tasks like typing and handling paperwork.

- Excellent customer service skills, both written and oral, and maintain confidentiality

- Strong technical proficiency with Excel and HRIS software
- Proficiency or ability to stay up-to-date with automation tools to improve accuracy and speed
Location
- Remote (Texas/Louisiana/Florida/Arkansas/Ohio)
- Preference for candidates in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or willing to relocate.

Salary/Compensations
- $89,600 - $105,300
- Eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
