About the Role
The Night Security Officer is responsible for supporting and delivering security across the site, ensuring exemplary standards of security and customer service for clients and visitors. This role is the public face of the security team, requiring professionalism and a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
- Work hours and shifts in accordance with employment conditions.
- Monitor the Centre as instructed by Centre Management.
- Carry out duties in accordance with instructions from Centre Management.
- Comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the centre.
- Ensure strict compliance with Fire Regulations.
- Assist with the implementation of the Centre’s Emergency Plan and Evacuation Strategy.
- Ensure compliance with the Centre’s Rules & Regulations at all times.
- Record all incidents in the Incident Log.
- Ensure contractors adhere to centre procedures for contractor management.
- Maintain a safe and pleasant environment within the centre.
- Assist with enquiries from tenants and the public.
- Abide by all company rules, terms, and conditions.
- Hold an SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence and a valid SIA Security Licence.
Requirements
- Must have a outgoing personality and ability to communicate with the public in what is a customer focused and engaging role.
- Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
- Aptitude to remain calm under pressure.
- Smart appearance.
- Flexible/can do attitude.
- Must be able to attend work in line with shift pattern through own transport or public transport.
- Ability to be flexible with shift start and finish times.
- High level of integrity.
- 5-year checkable employment record.
Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to articulate clearly and credibly with the centre management, senior managers and all staff.
