About the Role
As Data Lead, you will oversee and manage the Tennis Data Platform from event to event, ensuring accurate and timely data distribution to clients while meeting quality of service requirements and service level agreements. You will interact with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams to drive improvements, onboard new clients, and support new features. This role is crucial for managing live data services, storing historical data, and ensuring data capture and delivery are foundational services in the tennis market.
Responsibilities
- Managing the data delivery schedule throughout the tennis calendar
- Day to day data configuration
- Quality control
- Report Generations (both internal and external)
- Data Delivery Assessment
- Operational Support
- Regression testing new releases of software & testing new features
- Keeping on top of data development deliverables & deadlines
- Onboarding and facilitating testing with new clients
- Reporting and Feeding back issues / improvements
- Data Storage Management
- Standardising/Aligning Old Data
- Data Access
- Managing and executing data reprocessing
- Full roadmap of the Data Delivery Platform
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent
- Experience of working across a global business within a multicultural working environment
- Experience introducing and executing new processes across a team
- Excellent communication
- Attention to detail
- Proactive, organised, efficient with time, diligent, able to prioritise and be self-sufficient
- A good understanding of the global tennis events framework
- Willingness to learn about cloud-based architectures
- Ability to be flexible with working hours
- Have an interest in statistics
- Some knowledge of programming languages
- Data Analytics Experience
- Experience using data and analytics tools such as Datadog and Splunk (advantageous)
