About the Role
Jobber builds software for home service businesses, aiming to transform how services are delivered through technology. This new role will own the company's people story, both externally to attract talent and internally to engage employees. You will set the strategy and execute campaigns, stories, and communications related to talent brand and internal communications.
Responsibilities
- Evolve talent brand strategy and translate the Employee Value Proposition into campaigns, stories, and candidate experiences.
- Collaborate with Talent Attraction to develop targeted approaches for high-priority audiences based on hiring needs and market realities.
- Build an employee storytelling program across owned and paid channels.
- Establish the editorial rhythm, channel strategy, and measurement approach for talent brand initiatives.
- Own the communications strategy for the People team to ensure employees understand programs and decisions affecting their experiences.
- Partner with the People team on communications for performance, compensation, benefits, engagement, and learning.
- Develop proactive plans for significant changes, anticipating employee questions and equipping managers with necessary context and tools.
- Establish standards, templates, and planning rhythms to enhance communication quality across the company.
- Define success metrics for internal communications and continuously improve content, timing, and channels based on employee feedback and engagement.
Requirements
- Deep experience with employer brand, people team communications, and marketing or corporate communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to clarify complex or sensitive topics.
- Experience building strategy from the ground up and executing it independently.
- Credibility with senior stakeholders, including the ability to challenge briefs and propose alternative approaches.
- Fluency in audience segmentation, channel strategy, and campaign development.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to establishing structure.
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative insights to shape and evaluate work.
- Experience communicating organizational change or People programs to employee audiences.
