About the Role

The Residential Aide is responsible for ensuring client safety, providing direct care services, and maintaining building safety during shift hours at the residential site.

Responsibilities

Monitors, screens, and oversees all families assigned to the family shelter.
Responsible for safety and security of all families assigned to the family shelter.
Works closely with the case management staff to meet the needs of the families.
Assists families in developing their ADL skills and housekeeping as needed.
Complete unit inspections and documentation.
Clean, sanitize, and prepare the kitchen area for residents.
Warm up food for residents and serve meals as needed.
Remove trash and document food discarded.
Complete temperature log for refrigerators.
Monitor families for adherence to program and hotel rules.
Responds to family health and mental health needs as needed.
Complete wellness checks.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Food handlers license required.
Previous experience with the homeless population is a plus.
Ability to establish workload priorities.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations.
Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
