About the Role

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems.
• Remodel and maintain properties, including sheet rocking, painting, and masonry.
• Coordinate client relocation, including physical movement of belongings and logistical coordination.
• Provide on-site supervision to maintenance staff, ensuring work orders are completed correctly and on time.
• Provide daily updates to the Operations Manager on work order completion and update the work order system.
• Perform regular inspections using HUD HQS form.
• Coordinate and work with contracted services for property maintenance and upkeep.
• Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
• Exercise independent judgment and decision-making regarding apartment operations.
• Adhere to guidelines established by funding sources and Catholic Charities policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, business or trade school degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in property maintenance and repair preferred.
• Candidates with lived experience are preferred and encouraged to apply.
• Valid N.Y.S. Driver’s License.
• State Central Registry Clearance.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings and work at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.
• Completion of VIRTUS, Corporate Compliance, Defensive Driving, and Core Updates trainings.
