About the Role

The Assistant Project Manager supports and coordinates construction projects including new facility development, facility expansions, and renovations. They collaborate closely with the project team, construction site personnel, and management to ensure seamless execution. They develop project schedules, assign tasks, and define responsibilities for team members throughout the project lifecycle and oversee construction personnel and manage the timely delivery of materials and equipment to maintain project progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project managers to plan work schedules and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely progress within budget constraints.
  • Manages daily administrative tasks such as submittals, material requisitions, and requests for information.
  • Works in the field with production crews to understand job site operations and mechanical systems.
  • Participates in preparing special reports, conducting studies, and performing statistical analysis.
  • Compiles comprehensive project closeout documentation.
  • Assists with project estimates and cost review proposals for new projects.
  • Learns material takeoff, estimating, and pricing procedures.
  • Visits job sites to perform work inspections, check job progress, and resolve project and contract issues.
  • Coordinates distribution and retrieval of information to and from project stakeholders.
  • Assists management and marketing in developing and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Drafts and/or edits letters, memos, reports, and procedures.
  • Communicates all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degrees in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines are mandatory.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.
