About the Role
A machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining specialized machinery used to manufacture glass products.
Responsibilities
- Swabs machine to apply lubricant.
- Make adjustments with computer and/or mechanical adjustments.
- Inspects product for specifications using gauges and hand tools.
- Changes equipment on machine such as molds, blanks and rings.
- Completes required paperwork documenting operations and production.
- Uses hand tools such as swabs, tongs, and wrenches.
- Reports problems with the food safety management system to identified person(s).
- Ensures personnel are competent and have appropriate education, training, skills, and experience for Food Safety, HACCP or Food Defense.
- Ensures personnel are fully conversant in HACCP Principles and Application.

- Must have the ability to report problems with the food safety management system to identified person(s).
- Designated personnel shall have defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions.
- Personnel shall be competent and shall have appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
