About the Role
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client has a W2 contract assignment for a Technical Writer. This role involves developing and improving technical documentation for manufacturing and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and improve technical documentation for manufacturing and engineering teams, including work instructions, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and job aids.
- Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and operations teams to research technical information and create clear, accurate documentation.
- Edit and proofread materials for clarity, consistency, and quality.
- Manage documentation projects and deadlines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical writing experience
- Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to understand and document technical processes
- Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- PTC Windchill experience is a plus
- Manufacturing, engineering, or optics knowledge is a plus
- Experience creating work instructions, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, or technical documentation
- Strong research, organization, editing, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
